Brian Merryman lived in the year1800. He was born in Ennistymon but he spent most of his life time in Upper Feakle. He was a great poet and scholar. The name of one of his poems is Cúaird an Méodhon Oidhce. He was the schoolmaster in Kilclarin; he died in the Workhouse in Limerick and was buried there. A poet.- Collector
