  1. Marriage is a thing or sacrament which cannot take place at all times of the year.
    Most marriages take place during Shrove-time.
    It is said that the month of May is unlucky for Marriage and Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays are said to be the unluckiest days.
    Grey and red colours are said to be very unlucky day on which to get married.
    If people got married on Shorve Tuesday they might not have any family afterwards.
    Long ago the people used to get a certain number of cows or horses as fortune but
