- (continued from previous page)On other occasions girls go out in to the nice sweet-scented meadow and gather a big bunch of perfumed cowslips which they make a tosty of. A long piece of thread is obtained and each cowslip is put down through it. When all the cowslips are on the thread if forms a ball but is much softer.[Drawing] - TostyThey throw the tosty up in the air several times. For each throw they say one word of this verse, "Tosty, tosty tell me true how many years have I to go to school. One two three" and so on until they miss the throw.(continues on next page)
