Long ago straw boys used to visit the Bride's house and make merry.
These boys used to dress up in old rags and sugans made of hay.
The married couple used like to see those "Straw-bows" coming.
The first monthly Sunday after the wedding, the Bride is supposed to return home. This is also a day of merriment.
