    A great many old cures were known by people around this district.
    People used go round the fields in their bare feet.
    People believed that it was a great cure for corns.
    A snail was rubbed to worts when they came on people, and after rubbing the snail to the wort it should be hung on a thorn, and as soon as the snail would die
