    leads east of this cross is called the Church Road owing to a church being the principal edifice on it. This road joins the main road to Waterford at a small village called Stoneyford.
    The road leading south of this cross is known as the Haggard Road.
    This road derives its name from a small district named Haggard being situated on it. It is also an important link between Kells and Dunnamaggin.
