    His loss we do deplore,
    He's gone to seek his great reward
    Alas he is no more.
    Since first he came amongst us
    None could him excell,
    Both spiritual and temporal
    He did his duties well.
    At every call both day and night
    He never did complain,
    He went out with heart and will
    In every wind and rain.
    For the welfare of his flock
    He was always on his guard,
    To split up cattle ranches
    That God may him reward.
    He brought down state commissioners
    From Dublin town of late,
    To split up cattle ranches
