  1. About sixty years there was a spring well in Mount Falcon. This well was situated along the Foxford road about three miles from Ballina. A gentleman name Mr Knox hung a cup on a tree near by for the use of the people. One day as some people were passing by they misconducted themselves at the well. A short time after the well dried up, it sprang up again about six or seven yards away. It is still there and is a beautiful spring.
