  1. There is situated in the village of Doodaun about a mile north-west of Keenagh N. S. a lake
    There is an eel in this lake safeguarding golden spears and swords. The eel is supposed to be one of the Danes of long ago who changed himself into that form.
    A man name Peter Gillespie who resides in that village attempted to unearth them with the aid of another man. In order to do this work they had to drain the lake; accoundingly they made a drain from it, and built a gullet on the road.
