  1. Long ago there lived a man and his wife. One night the man was called to get up about twelve o'clock, that the horses were thrown outside in the stable. At the same time the cock crew and his wife would not let him get up. He was called again and this time he got up although his wife did not want to let him. In those days the hens and cocks used to sleep in a roost in the kitchen. When he was passing the kitchen the cock flew down before him and crew. The man gave him a kick and killed him and went out. After a long time when he was not coming in his wife went out to look for him. She found the horse alright and the man dead.
