    There are well known cures in and around Killala. Some of them are:_
    Mrs. Givarry Killala has a cure for a burn or a scald for which she makes an ointment with briar leaves, butter, and eggs.
    Mrs. Joynt of Ross has a cure for rheumatism. She makes a soft plaster with Chlorofarm and soft soap. The person who gets this plaster must not smell it or loose its charm.
