    the shops. This is a very slow way of digging so most people have got diggers.
    The chief kinds of potatoes grown are Sutton's, Aran Banners, Kerr's Pinks, Aran Victors, Up to Dates and Golden Wonder. Aran Banners and Kerr's Pinks grow best in the soil here.
    Potatoes are used for food for man and beast. They are also used to make petrol and starch. The potatoes are sent to the alcohol factory where they are then made into petrol.
