  1. On a winter's night children often amuse themselves in playing games. Some games which are played indoor are Blind Man's Buff. In and out of windows, Here we come gathering nuts in May and sometimes we play tug of war. In the daytime when on holidays from school, boys usually amuse themselves by making tops from spools, bird cages which are made from rods and guns from what we call the burtry tree. Tig is a game which is often played by children out in a afield or garden where they can get running quickly.
