  1. There is an old castle near the village of Greencastle. There is supposed to be a crock of gold hidden in it. About twenty or twenty-five years ago strange men came to find this treasure, but did not succeed. It is said that some evil will befall the person who finds this treasure. These strange visitors came to the conclusion that the treasure must be concealed under what is known locally as the "Giant's Table". This "table" is very strongly built with stone and some unknown kind of plaster. It is nine feet square and twelve feet high.
