  1. This story was told to me by Aunt. Her name is Ellen McCann. His age is 74. She lives in Drumaweir. There is a place in the townland of Carrohugh called Murderhole. It is said that bailiffs came to evict a family at this place. The neighbours all gathered to try to stop this eviction. It resulted in a fierce fight, in which one of the bailiffs was murdered, and the place is known as murderhole ever since.
