    There are many birds found in this district such as pigeons, wild-ducks, magpies, hawks, thrushes, blackbirds, crows, jackdaws, starlings, wood-pickers, sparrows, goldfinches, bullfinches, chaffinches, wrens, robins, pheasants, moorfowl, snipe, wood hens, larks, tomtits, bluetits, divers, the cuckoo the swallow the corncrake. come very early to this district because of all the high trees and long grass.
    The pigeon builds in an ivy tree and makes her nest of heather and lays two white eggs. The magpie makes the same kind of an nest as the pigeon but her eggs are blue dotted with brown. The thrush and blackbird build the same kind of (an) nest and they lay four blue eggs dotted with black. The wood-picker cuts a hole in a tree and makes her nest of hair.
