  1. Each district usually has customs which no other district has.
    Marriages about here mostly take place before or after Lent. Wedding breakfasts are not held but the bridal party go for a drive somewhere. Very often when a pair are coming home torches and tar-barrels are lit and sometimes shots are fired and strawboys come. A dance is usually held. Some days and months are considered unlucky for marriage such as the month of May and Friday.
