  1. There were two brothers living convenient to each other. Their farms were mearning each other. Each of them had a field of corn beside each other. One brother's field was much better than the other. Each of the brothers was married and had a family. The man who owned the good [field] of corn noticed his crop getting very light and thin. One day he got up very early to see what was happening. He kept a close watch on his field of corn and he noticed a big black clock or beetle pulling a blade of corn from his field and carrying it across the fence and planting it in his brother's field. The clock returned and brought another blade of corn returned and brought another blade. This went on for a long time. At last the man caught the clock and put it into his purse and went home.
