  1. One May morning a man came to a farmers house about four o'clock and he called the farmer and told him that May Morning was at his well. The farmer said he did not believe it. That day they were making the butter in the barrel and when they looked at it, it was only frath. This happened in Ballybuinion to my father's grandmother. They went to Cannon Molyneaux and they asked him to say mass in the house. The priest said "to leave the cows in that morning". The next morning the priest came and said mass in the house and afterwards he blessed the cows and then he said to the Farmer that he would have to sell a cow at every fair and buy another
