  1. On the 15th of August, the Feast of the Assumption, people from all over North Kerry go to Ballybunion.
    On Saint Brigid's Day crosses of rushes are made by most families. The youngest member of the family and no other member of the family but him should go to the nearest field where the rushes grow and he must bring home the rushes and make a cross.
