    He welcomed me and invited me to sit down, but as my friend was waiting for me on the road I didn't delay. So he directed me to go to the next lane, on the same side of the road, and it would bring me to Naugle's.
    No sooner had I the door closed when leaving than the laughter and commotion started again in the kitchen and I could hear the great, "Ha, ha, ha" of one individual above the others. When I got to the main road I told my friend of my experience, and he only laughed at it, thinking I was "pulling his leg".
    When I arrived at Naugle's I told Naugle about the strange experience I had. Here is what he said:-
    "If you come to that house any night in the week after dark, you will hear that laughing and noise. Every man that ever went to it as long as I remember heard it, and it used to be heard long
