    In the year 1883 there was a big wind similar to the big wind of 1839.

    It fell down on the fire, and scattered it. Then the fire arose. The blaze lit up the country side for miles around.
    There lived in the house at the time. Micheal Heaney, his wife,children and a brother of Micheal.
    They escaped the fire. they lived in a byre for four years till the house was rebuilt.
