    One night about 50 years ago a man and his wife were going home from the fair in Ballinamore.

    and went to the barracks. The police told him that there was nothing on the road but he would not go home.
    Then the two policemen went a long with him. When they were some distance past the wood the policemen said they would go back. The man said he would not go home if they went back, so the policemen had to leave him at the door of his own house in Drumgowna over 3 miles from Ballinamore. When the policemen were with the man they saw nothing.
