    his hand. It just happened that the serpent was asleep; he rode up to him and drove the spear into his body and galloped off. The serpent arose and put his tail in his mouth and rolled along after the man to catch him. He was rolling along like a wheel with his tail in his mouth, the farther he was going the more the spear was sticking into him. Finally from the loss of blood he weakened and fell into the river Feale and was drowned, and the man escaped from him.
