    Chapel. Some of these famous goalers were Tom, Jim, and Richard MacElligott, Humphry, Michael, and Terence McMahon, Tom Curtin, Raymore, Dick Mahony, Rathanny, Jim and Dan Dunne Rathanny, the others I can't remember but they were all in the parish. It was a very hot goal of rough and tumble as there were very little rules at that time.
    The Kerry team brought the honours and the land-lord went up on a stage making a speech praising his own team and saying the "Kerry fellows were very rough but the land-lord whispered something to his own men and one of them by the name of Humpry McMahon put his head between the Cork land-lords legs and walked out between the crowd with him on his shoulders and placed him down gently on the field.
