    Mrs Kehoe of Ballyoe cures this disease. To find out if the person has the sickness, she gets eamomilebeg a weed with a red blossom and puts it in a basin of water. she says a prayer and if froth comes on the water the person has the Manaereck .She makes the sign of the bross and the sick person does the same. She gives three spoonfuls of the water to drink and then makes the sign of the bross with the water on the palms of the hands, behind the ears, on the soles of the feet, on the lips and on the back of the neck. Then she gives a spoonful of Holy Water to drink.
