  1. (continued from previous page)
June is considered the lucky month, May the unlucky month, and the 13th is considered the unlucky day.
an old rhyme about marriages is :-
    Monday for health,
    Tuesday for wealth,
Wednesday the best day of all,
    Thursday for crosses,
    Friday for losses,
And Saturday no luck at all.

  2. About sixty years ago marriage took place in Doran's house.
This house is now occupied by Mrs. Young. It is the townsland of Castlemitchell, parish of Athy, Co. Kildare. It is on the main road from Athy to Stradbally and is about three miles from Athy.
