The cure for indigestion was to dry Dandelions and eat the root. When people boiled them and drank the water.
For the measles the people boiled nettles and drank the soup or sometimes they would get whiskey.
The cure for sore throats was to roast potatoes and put them into stocking and tie the stockings round their necks. The chief cure for the whooping was donkey's milk.
