  1. The ship called the “Suhdana” came into Lough Swilly with a storm in 1811. She came in at dark and struck some rocks atn Ballymastocker Bay on the coast of Donegal and L. Swilly. There is still a mark on the rock where it struck. The crew was all drowned unless the captain. Some people put him on flinging horse. He was knocked off and killed. His wife was washed ashore and she had on a costly ring. A woman cut off her finger to get the ring.
    In 1840 a ship called “Drumnacreg” was out fishing when it overturned and there were five people drowned.
    In 1842 the “Fanad boat” was going from Portsalon to Buncranna. There were twenty-one on board. The boat overturned and there were fifteen lives lost. The names of some of the people are John Tolan, James
