    In the olden times the people had no reapers like what the people have now a days. They cut the corn with hooks and scythes. At night when the work was stopped everyone had almost an acre cut.
    The farmers had a slow way of digging the potatoes also. They had to hire servant men to help to dig them with spades. There were not many potato diggers to be had.
