    But the leading cause of our agitation was to smash forever the evictor's yoke,
    And return again to their long lost homesteads the evicted tenants of old far-famed Stroke.
    Here's to the memory of immortal Davitt who raised the Land League in old Irishtown,
    When it spread like lightning over all this
    Nation and caused all landlords to it bow down
    They sneered at first at the thoughts of danger
    The Land League rules they did disregard,
    They could not see how the rack-rent income could be affected by the Shilling Card.
    But the Land League rules joined all creeds and classes, and joined them up in one solid band
    To fight the landlords the ''bums'' and grabbers
    and clear them wholesale out of this land
    But the Land League rules ended all land grabbing
    The eleven months system it had cast aside,
