- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)he was born. Some men from the village and its surroundings, visit his house nightly to listen to his tales. They enjoy them through they don't believe a word of them.
There are a great many more houses in the village now than thirty years ago, and there are no wins to be seen. Almost all of the houses are well-built houses of stone and are well kept. Visitors say we have no slums.
A large number of people emigrated to America in former years some of whom came back with fortunes and settled down here. Now some young boys and girls go to England, but emigration is not carried to such an extent as formerly.
Brosna mentioned in the following poem.
"God made Brosna
He mad it in the night
He made it in a hurry
And forgot to make it right
He put the post-office in the middle(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
