    Loan Bank. There was a loan bank in Taghmon years ago. It was situated in the square. A man by the name of Pinder that had it.
    Sculptor. There was a sculptor by the name of Culleton in Taghmon long ago.
    Public Houses. There was between seventeen and twenty public houses in Taghmon and now there are only five; and they all used to do well for drink was cheap and people were more given to drink in then days.
    A horse fair used to be held twice a year here. It was the only fair of its kind in County Wexford for a long time
    After the fair on 28th May there used always be a melee; and I always used to hear that it was the Camross lads used to start it. They were regarded as the roughest crowd coming into Taghmon.
