- I was fishing wan day down at a placed called Coolcliff near Ballymitty.I wanted to cross the river for you could fish better from the other side. I came to this place where there were stones across the river. I saw this brown stone as I thought in the middle of the water. I stepped on it. What was it but a big Fluke (flat fish-kind of). Off with him like a shot out of a gun and he never stopped 'til he brought me to Shawstown. There was a tree across the river there and I caught on to that and came safe.
(Shawstown is about eight miles from Coolcliff, where he stepped on the fish T.OC.)(continues on next page)
