  1. There was a doctor living in Adamstown long ago. His name was Dr. Brady.
    Well he died and for years after the people were lamenting his death. For they felt sure that such a good doctor would never come to the place again.
    There was an ould fellow in the place got sick and he died. Another ould man said if Dr. Brady was alive the ould man wouldn't die. He'd cure anything he says.
    "There was a man here and he got the stomach blown out of him. Dr. Brady came and put a sheep's stomach in him instead of his own. The following year the man had two lambs"
