- When we were young we were devils at playing tricks. There was a man who lived in Brownstown and we nearly killed him wan night.
We got a donkey's cart and we put it up on top of the chimney. A man by the name of Jim Harpur and myself were the ring leaders. Then weput a big bank of timber up against the door, and when the man opened the door the bank fell in and nearly cut the head off him. - The Pattern of Kilcowan Graveyard (near Baldwinstown) is held on 15th August.The Pattern of Kilmore Graveyard is held on 17th March.There is a Blessed Well just near Baldwinstown called Slánsmaid Well (Slán méad)?
