    Boxty bread is made in two ways. The raw potatoes are scraped. Then the jiuce is squeezed out of them + flour milk soda + sugar + salt are added. Theses are hard + indigestible A nicer cake is made by leaving sufficient juice in them to wet the flour and these are served with hot milk + sugar + are very appetizing Boxty parties are still held The boys + girls meet in a house the boys scrape the potatoes the girls cook them. The boys collect enough money to provide tea, butter + occasionally some loaves + jam
    Oatmeal Bread was made from oatmeal sugar salt + water. It was baked in a griddle and was a favourite lunch for men to take with them when going to a fair
    Slims are batter cakes.
    Slapjacks were made like soda scones but large + turned up + down on the pan to cook
