  1. An old story is told of a man named Patrick Kelly who lived in this townland one hundred years ago. Patrick was always trying to play clever tricks on his neighbours. The neighbours knowing his hearts desire was in riches set a snare in which to catch "tricky Paddy Kelly" as he was called.
    The dwellers of the district filled a crock with stones and buried it deep at the Giants grave by night. They presented a stranger to come along and convince Paddy that there was a crock of gold in this particular spot.
    Paddy convinced that he was about to become a rich man planned his method of procedure. He got a square board about two feet by
