There are treasures hidden under some of these stones. No person ever tried to look for these treasures. The Danes hid them for they said it would bring misfortune to them. The Danes buried all their money in the ground for safety for they had no banks.
(I got this from George McGerdon, 78, farmer, Greagh) - Beside my mother's house near Arra, Co. Cavan, there is a fort. Many people have seen fairies. Some of these men asked the fairies for money. The fairies told them that if they dug anywhere around the fort they would get plent of money. The men did so. They got money. When they were storing it they found the money going away and a crock of leaves was left.
(I got that from my mother Mary Kate Rocks, 39, Tattenclave).- Collector
