Lynch. Blackstaff was one of the men who escaped. He got hidden in a load of straw and had just met the military coming to raid his house, as he was getting away. He arrived safely in Dundalk and got on the boat for Liverpool, never to return. His little holding was sold some years later and purchased by a neighbour.
