    two round bowls like holes, or receptacles, which held the holy water. At the eastern side of those fonts, the ground is high,not very much though. This part was the grave-yard or burial-ground. It is recorded locally that the last corpse interred here, was carried on a bier from Co. Limerick, sometime about the 17th century.
    About one hundred yards from where the church stood, there is an underground passage, going in a north westerly direction, some say it is only about 50 yds long, but I know it is much longer, legend has it, that in the times of persecution here, this cave
