    Long ago when a cock mains was arranged the two cocks were put into a house and fed on cock bread for a couple of weeks. No one knew how to make this bread but a man named Murray from upper Main St., Graig-na-managh. A few days before the fight a man used to cut the spurs off the cocks and put on metal ones. Then he used to clip the feathers round the cock's necks. A good deal of money used to be lost and won on this amusement. My father told me the following story about cock fighting
