- On the back of Furlong's and Kavanagh's houses in Tinnacarrig there are the ruins of an old church and churchyard.
One of the Kavanaghs cut a bush of the wall of the churchyard. He got a prick of the bush in the eye and had to go to the hospital where his eye had to be taken out and a glass eye put in.
