    she is getting married - Sometimes a sum of money If not, sheep or cattle or goods are given instead of money. Long ago it was usual for the pair getting married to drive in a side car to the church. After the marriage they went home to the bride's house and had breakfast. The newly married pair usually went for a drive. Some of the people stayed in the house all day dancing and singing. Drawing near night "cailleacs" used to come to the house with some musical instruments. They disguised themselves with women's old clothes.
