  1. About sixty years ago the tenants in their farms paid rents to men called landlords. George Herrick was the landlord for the tenants of upper Bellmount. He was a bad landlord for he (went) evicted a poor woman and her son out of their land because they could not pay their rent. a hut was put up (from) for them by the land League party and it was called the Land League house.
    The landlord lived in the city of cork ad had agents to collect the rents from the tenants.
