- In the remote parts of Donoughmore, next parish to Inniscarra there lived long ago a half wit named Patsy Leary, known also as Patsy the Leprechaun from his dealings with the fairy cobblers. This lad's outstanding traits were his dislike of work and his desire to acquire wealth to be independent of work.
