    lived in Kanturk, worked in the same shop. Their names were, Thade and Jack Kelleher. One day the boss saw Jack idling, and said to him, "What are you doing Jack", and Jack answered. "I am helping Thade, Sir."
    "And what is Thade doing", asked the boss, "Nothing, sir", said Jack.
    Nowadays when anyone is asked by another what he is doing, he often answers, "Helping Thade to do nothing."
    A certain man living in Kanturk at the present time is noted in the district for his unusual habit of muddling his sentences when he is speaking. For instance as a school-boy, he was asked why he had been absent from school the previous, he said he had been hunting. When
