It is both wide and deep with great floods when it rains as all the water that rises in the mountains for miles around flows into it. Nadd Bheagh river flows into it at Nadd, the Abha na Gora-gCat near our house, Abha na Gráide flows into it at the end of our land. It meets the Black water near Banteer.
