A road about three miles in length leads from Laharn Cross to Beeing a' Duibh Bog. At the entrance to the bog there is a stream crossing the road. Just at this place the road ends and a passage leads the rest of the way. It is said that this road was made as relief work during the Famine. The rate of pay was about a shilling a day.
