to mention that this district of Tubrid (called after St. Bgt's well) was about seventy years ago called Goat's St and was the home of labourer's of this place, the remains of these little cabins may be seen west of Tubrid House and at the entrance to Mullagh house which was formerly an RIC. barrack. The women were industries and devoted their time weaving and spinning and lived Comfortably. A story is told that an orphan boy was once seen to have played "Pitch and Toss" with sovereigins found in the Cabin wall.
